If you have received this notice, then our records indicate you have chosen not to renew your lease and will be moving out of the apartment on or before the lease expiration date at 12noon. Most, but not all, leases end on July 31 at 12:00 NOON. Please refer to your lease agreement to validate the actual move out date.
Move-Out Check-Out: Once you are ready to move out, have firmed up plans on what date you are moving, or have already moved out please click on the following link to complete the CHECKOUT FORM (REQUIRED)
It is VERY important and required that you complete the ONLINE MOVE OUT FORM. This can be done prior to move out as long as you have a SOLID date that you are actually moving. If the move out form is not completed and submitted your security deposit refund could be delayed as you will not have followed the move out procedures as required. As a reminder, all residents must have vacated the property by their lease end date unless done so prior to this date. There are always a number of questions regarding the return of your security deposit.
Things to do prior to your move out:
Your Apartment should be free of all personal items, vacuumed, the inside of the window(s) cleaned, mini blinds dusted (replaced if damaged), hard floors swept and mopped, kitchen cabinets cleaned out, oven and stove cleaned, refrigerator cleaned, and entire unit free of all personal items this includes clothes hangers. If you have changed your bedroom door handle to a locked handle, please make sure that you install the door handle that was originally on the door. The bathroom should be cleaned including tub, sink and toilet.
Keys/Laundry Cards/Parking Permits: You must return the following items in a sealed envelope and clearly labeled with your apartment number and put into the office dropbox.
• Apartment Door Key ($30), Laundry Card ($20) , Mailbox Key ($30)
• Parking Permit ($50)
For a refund of your security deposit, the best rule is to remember what the Apartment looked like upon your move in and make sure that it looks the same upon your move out. Most importantly DO NOT leave personal items in the Apartment. The property owners, nor Alliance Property Services, nor any of its agents are responsible for your personal items. Make sure you take everything that belongs to you or we must assume you wanted it disposed of. There are charges associated with disposing of your personal items.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at Keith@RobbRealEstate.com
As per your lease agreement, all residents are charged a commercial cleaning charge listed as additional rents and deducted directly from your security deposit. This charge is pro-rated based on the number of residents within the unit and is only charged if you DO NOT clean the unit prior to vacating – it should be just as clean as the day you moved in and you should have no problem getting a full refund of your security deposit!
Security deposits and/or statements are mailed 30-days from the date your lease agreement ends as long as you use the ONLINE CHECKOUT SYSTEM.
